6x6x6 Rockwool Plant Cube for Tomato Greenhouse HydroponicsOur rock wool substrate is ideal for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herbs cultivation, vertical greening,
planting walls, and home gardening.
Rockwool Cubes are perfect for the seamless starting of seeds and cuttings, promoting uniform root development throughout the entire cube. They fit into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks and can also be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a mineral wool crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock, spun into fibers, and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Proper care is necessary when handling rock wool; always wear gloves and a mask. The rock wool fibers can irritate the skin and lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock wool, especially when it's wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the Rock wool.
4. Water only when there's light-never water in the dark.
5. The optimal room temperature for the growing environment is between 18.5°C to 28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C inside the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, encouraging root disease.
6. With low light, water with more volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool excessively wet. Excessive algae is a sign of overwatering. Minimize watering while the plant is young, as too much water prevents essential root setting necessary for healthy growth.
