6x6x6 Rock Wool Cube for Tomato Greenhouse HydroponicsThe rock wool substrate is highly suitable for efficient greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, innovative three-dimensional greening,
planting walls, and home gardening, among other applications.
Rock wool Cubes facilitate the easy starting of seeds and cuttings, ensuring uniform root development throughout the entire cube. They fit seamlessly into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks and can be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most growing media.
Rock wool is a mineral wool derived from molten basalt and limestone rock. These materials are spun into fibers and then compressed into versatile shapes such as cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Care should be exercised when handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation and can also irritate the lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak the Rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only when there's light; never water in the dark.
5. The optimal room temperature for the growing environment is 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, encouraging root disease.
6. Under low light conditions, water with more volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool sopping wet. Excessive algae growth is a sign of over-watering. Minimize watering while the plant is young, as too much water can prevent essential root setting, which is crucial for healthy plant growth.
