Rock Wool Cubes simplify the process of seed starting and cuttings. They ensure even root development throughout the cube, fitting perfectly into standard rock wool blocks. They are also compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing media.
Rock wool, a high-quality mineral wool, is crafted from molten basalt and limestone, spun into resilient fibres and compressed into versatile cubes, blocks, or slabs.
For safe handling, always use gloves and masks. Rock wool fibres can irritate the skin and lungs if not properly managed.
1. Handle Rock wool with care, especially when wet, to avoid compression.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes based on the size of the Rock wool.
4. Water only under light conditions to avoid moisture complications.
5. Maintain an optimal growing environment with temperatures between 18.5°C - 28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C can deplete oxygen levels, risking root disease.
6. Adjust watering volume and frequency based on light levels - more water with fewer cycles in low light and vice versa.
7. Avoid keeping Rock wool excessively wet to prevent algae growth. Minimize watering for young plants to ensure strong root development.
