Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur rock wool substrate is ideal for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, herb medicine cultivation, vertical greening,
planting walls, and home gardening, etc.
Rock Wool Cubes ensure seamless seed and cutting initiation, fostering uniform root development throughout the cube. These cubes fit effortlessly into standard rock wool blocks and are compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a versatile mineral wool produced from melted basalt and limestone, spun into fibers, and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Handle rock wool with care by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation, and inhalation may lead to lung irritation.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock Wool, especially when wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock Wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak Rock Wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on size.
4. Water only in the light; avoid watering in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing medium can deplete oxygen levels, promoting root disease.
6. Under low light, water with larger volumes but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Avoid keeping Rock Wool excessively wet. Excessive algae is a sign of over-watering. Reduce watering when the plant is young to ensure proper root setting, which is crucial for healthy growth.
