Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur high-quality rock wool substrate is perfectly tailored for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening.
Rock wool Cubes ensure seamless seed and cutting propagation, promoting uniform root development throughout each cube. They fit effortlessly into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks and are compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone, our mineral wool is spun into resilient fibres and compressed into versatile cubes, blocks, or slabs.
To ensure safe handling of rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask. The fibres can cause skin irritation and, if inhaled, may also irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the Rock wool.
4. Water only during light periods; never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal growing environment at 18.5-28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C in the growing media can deplete oxygen levels and encourage root diseases.
6. With low light, water with more volume but fewer cycles and vice versa.
7. Do not keep Rock wool excessively wet. Excess algae growth indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young to ensure proper root setting, which is crucial for healthy growth.
