Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is perfectly tailored for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, herb medicine cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening, among other applications.
Rock wool Cubes provide an effortless start for seeds and cuttings, ensuring uniform root growth throughout the entire cube. They fit seamlessly into any standard rock wool block holes and can be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a high-quality mineral wool, crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock. It is spun into durable fibers and subsequently compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Caution: Always handle rock wool with gloves and a mask. The fibers can irritate the skin, and inhalation may cause lung irritation.
1. Avoid squeezing rock wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Pre-condition rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak the rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only during daylight hours; refrain from watering in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C in the growing medium can deplete oxygen levels, increasing the risk of root disease.
6. With low light, water with more volume but fewer cycles - and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep rock wool excessively wet. A significant presence of algae indicates overwatering. Reduce watering while the plant is young, as too much water can hinder essential root development.
