Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is perfectly tailored for greenhouse farming.
Ideal for floriculture, medicinal herbs cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening, among other applications.
Rock wool Cubes ensure the effortless initiation of seeds and cuttings, promoting uniform root development throughout the entire cube. They can seamlessly fit into the holes of standard rock wool blocks and are compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing media.
Rock wool is crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock, spun into fine fibres, and then compressed into versatile cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Exercise caution when handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibres can cause skin irritation, and inhalation can irritate the lungs.
1. Refrain from squeezing Rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the Rock wool.
4. Water only when there is light - avoid watering in the dark.
5. The optimal room temperature for growing environments is 18.5°C to 28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media can lead to reduced oxygen levels, encouraging root disease.
6. With low light, water with higher volume but fewer cycles - and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool excessively wet. Abundant algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young. Excessive water prevents essential root setting needed for healthy plant growth.
