Rock Wool Cubes simplify the process of seed and cutting initiation, ensuring uniform root development throughout the entire cube. Compatible with standard rock wool blocks, they can also be integrated with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most growing mediums.
Rock Wool is a high-quality mineral wool derived from molten basalt and limestone, spun into fibers, and compressed into various forms such as cubes, blocks, or slabs.
For safe handling, always wear gloves and a mask. Rock wool fibers may irritate skin and lungs if mishandled or inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock Wool, especially when wet, to maintain its structural integrity.
2. Pre-condition Rock Wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime deposits.
3. Pre-soak the Rock Wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size, to ensure optimal hydration.
4. Only water Rock Wool when there's light present; avoid watering in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal growing environment with room temperatures between 18.5°C and 28°C for most species. Temperatures exceeding 26.7°C inside the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, increasing the risk of root disease.
6. With low light conditions, water with greater volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa for high light conditions.
7. Avoid keeping Rock Wool overly wet. Excessive algae growth indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young to allow essential root setting.
