Rock wool Cubes provide hassle-free seed and cutting propagation, ensuring uniform root development throughout the cube. They fit seamlessly into standard rock wool blocks and can be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a versatile mineral wool made from molten basalt and limestone, expertly spun into fibers and compressed into various formats such as cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Exercise caution when handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can irritate the skin and lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing the rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Always pre-condition rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime effectively.
3. Pre-soak the rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only when there's light - never water in darkness.
5. Maintain an optimum room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C can deplete oxygen levels, encouraging root disease.
6. With low light conditions, water more abundantly but with fewer cycles - and vice versa.
7. Avoid keeping rock wool excessively wet. Algae growth indicates overwatering. Minimize watering while the plant is young to ensure proper root setting, essential for healthy growth.
