6x6x6 Rock Wool Seeding Cube for Tomato Greenhouse HydroponicsThis premium rock wool substrate is perfectly suited for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
planting walls, and home gardening among other applications.
Rock wool cubes facilitate easy germination of seeds and cuttings, ensuring even root development throughout the entire cube. They can be used in conjunction with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing media, fitting seamlessly into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks.
Rock wool is a mineral wool crafted from molten basalt and limestone, spun into fibers and compressed into various forms like cubes, blocks, or slabs.
When handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation and can irritate the lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing the rock wool, especially when it's wet.
2. Always pre-condition rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak the rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only when there's light; avoid watering in the dark.
5. The optimum room temperature for most species is 18.5°C to 28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing medium can deplete oxygen levels and encourage root disease.
6. With low light conditions, water with greater volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do not keep rock wool excessively wet. An abundance of algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young to ensure proper root setting, which is essential for healthy growth.
