Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium-grade rock wool substrate is the ideal choice for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herbs cultivation, vertical greening projects,
planting walls, and even home gardening ventures.
Rock Wool Cubes provide a seamless start for seeds and cuttings, ensuring uniform root development. They fit perfectly into any standard rock wool blocks and can be integrated with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a high-quality mineral wool derived from molten basalt and limestone. This mixture is spun into fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs for versatile use.
Exercise caution when handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation and may irritate the lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock Wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock Wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak Rock Wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size.
4. Water only when there is light; never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal growing environment temperature of 18.5°C to 28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, encouraging root disease.
6. With low light conditions, water with more volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock Wool excessively wet. A lot of algae is a sign of overwatering. Minimize watering while the plant is young, as too much water can hinder essential root setting.
