Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is ideal for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening, among others.
Rock wool cubes facilitate effortless seed and cutting propagation, ensuring uniform root development throughout the cube. They fit seamlessly into standard rock wool block holes and can be combined with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most growing media.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone, rock wool is spun into fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs, offering an unparalleled medium for plant growth.
When handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask to prevent skin and lung irritation caused by the fibers.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak Rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water the plants only when there's light; never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5°C to 28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C inside the growing medium can lead to oxygen depletion and root diseases.
6. For low light conditions, use more water with fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Avoid keeping Rock wool excessively wet. Excessive algae growth indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young to allow proper root establishment, which is crucial for plant health.
