Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is meticulously designed for optimum greenhouse farming, ensuring your plants thrive in a controlled environment.
Whether for floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
planting walls, or home gardening, our rock wool substrate provides unmatched versatility and efficiency.
Rock wool Cubes facilitate the seamless initiation of seeds and cuttings, promoting uniform root development throughout the entire cube. Perfectly fitting into standard rock wool blocks, they are also compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most growing mediums.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone, our mineral rock wool is transformed into fibres and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs, ensuring robust and reliable performance.
Handle rock wool with care by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibres can irritate skin and lungs upon contact or inhalation.
1. Avoid compressing Rock wool, especially when wet, to maintain its structure and effectiveness.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Depending on the size of the Rock wool, pre-soak it for 30 seconds to 30 minutes.
4. Water only in the presence of light. Never water in the dark to avoid fungal growth.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C inside the growing media deplete oxygen levels, increasing the risk of root disease.
6. Adjust watering volume and frequency based on light intensity, with more volume and fewer cycles in low light conditions, and vice versa.
7. Do not keep Rock wool excessively wet. Presence of algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young as too much water can hinder root development.
