Our Rock Wool Cubes facilitate effortless seed starting and cutting propagation, ensuring even root development throughout the cube. They fit seamlessly into standard rock wool blocks and are compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock, our Rock Wool is spun into fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs, offering unparalleled growth medium quality.
For safe handling, always use gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation and, if inhaled, can irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock Wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock Wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the Rock Wool.
4. Water only during light periods-never in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5°C to 28°C for most species. Higher temperatures can deplete oxygen levels, encouraging root diseases.
6. In low light, water with larger volumes but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do not keep Rock Wool sopping wet. Excessive algae indicates over-watering. Minimize watering for young plants to ensure proper root setting, essential for healthy growth.
