Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is meticulously designed for greenhouse farming, ensuring optimal growth conditions for your plants.
It's perfect for floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
planting walls, and even home gardening, providing versatile and reliable support for all your growing needs.
Rock Wool Cubes are an excellent medium for initiating seeds and cuttings, promoting uniform root development throughout the entire cube. They are compatible with standard rock wool blocks, Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is crafted from molten basalt and limestone, spun into fine fibres, and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs, making it an ideal choice for a variety of horticultural applications.
When handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask to prevent irritation to the skin and lungs caused by the fibres.
1. Avoid squeezing the rock wool, especially when it is wet, to maintain its structure.
2. Pre-condition the rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve any lime residues.
3. Pre-soaking time varies from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the rock wool.
4. Water your plants only when there is light, never in the dark, to ensure optimal growth.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C in the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, leading to root diseases.
6. With low light conditions, water with more volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do not keep rock wool excessively wet; excessive algae growth is a sign of overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young, as too much water can hinder root development, which is crucial for healthy growth.
