6x6x6 Rock Wool Cube - Ideal for Tomato Greenhouse HydroponicsOur premium rock wool substrate is perfectly suitable for all types of greenhouse farming,
as well as floriculture, herb medicine cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening among other applications.
Rock wool cubes are designed for the seamless initiation of seeds and cuttings, ensuring uniform root development throughout the entire cube. They fit perfectly into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks and can be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is manufactured from molten basalt and limestone, spun into fibers, and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs, providing a high-quality mineral wool.
Handling precautions: Always wear gloves and a mask when handling rock wool, as the fibers can irritate the skin and lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak Rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on size.
4. Water only when there is light - never water in the dark.
5. The optimum room temperature for the growing environment is 18.5-28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C in the growing medium can deplete oxygen levels, leading to root disease.
6. With low light, water with more volume in fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool overly wet. Abundant algae is a sign of overwatering. Minimize watering while the plant is young; excessive water can prevent essential root setting.
