Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur high-quality rock wool substrate is perfectly tailored for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, herb medicine cultivation, innovative three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening projects.
Rock wool Cubes facilitate seamless seed and cutting initiation, ensuring uniform root development throughout. They are compatible with any standard rock wool blocks and can be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and a variety of other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a superior mineral wool crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock, spun into fibers, and compressed into versatile cubes, blocks, or slabs.
When handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask. The fibers can irritate the skin, and inhalation may cause lung irritation.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak Rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only during light periods-never in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal growth environment temperature of 18.5-28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, leading to root disease.
6. With low light, water with more volume but fewer cycles-and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool sopping wet. A lot of algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young to ensure proper root establishment, which is vital for healthy growth.
