Seeding Rock Wool CubesThe rock wool substrate is highly suitable for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, home gardening, and more.
Rock wool Cubes facilitate easy starting of seeds and cuttings, promoting even root development throughout the entire cube. These cubes fit seamlessly into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks and are compatible with various growing mediums such as Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and more.
Rock wool is a premium mineral wool derived from molten basalt and limestone rock, expertly spun into fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Exercise caution while handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation and, if inhaled, can also irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak the Rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only when there is light-never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, encouraging root disease.
6. Under low light conditions, water with more volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool overly wet. Significant algae growth indicates over-watering. Minimize watering when the plant is young, as excessive water can prevent crucial root setting necessary for a healthy plant.
