6x6x6 Rock Wool Cube for Tomato Greenhouse HydroponicsOur premium rock wool substrate is perfectly suited for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, herb cultivation, medicinal plant growing, innovative three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and even home gardening.
Rock Wool Cubes provide an ideal medium for starting seeds and cuttings, ensuring uniform root development throughout the cube. They fit seamlessly into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks and are compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a mineral wool crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock. It is spun into fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Take care when handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation and, if inhaled, can irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing the rock wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Always pre-condition rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only when there is light; avoid watering in the dark.
5. The optimum room temperature for the growing environment is 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C inside the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, promoting root disease.
6. With low light, use more water but fewer cycles. Vice versa for high light conditions.
7. Do NOT keep rock wool excessively wet. A lot of algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering while the plant is young, as too much water can prevent essential root setting, crucial for healthy growth.
