Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is designed to excel in greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening, among other applications.
Rock wool Cubes are ideal for effortless seed and cutting initiation, ensuring uniform root development throughout the cube. These cubes can seamlessly fit into any standard rock wool block holes and are also compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a high-quality mineral wool crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock, skillfully spun into fibers, and then compressed into versatile forms like cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Exercise caution when handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can irritate the skin, and inhalation can irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak the Rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only when there's light-never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5 to 28 degrees Celsius for most species. Inside the growing media, temperatures above 26.7 degrees Celsius deplete oxygen levels, inviting root disease.
6. With low light, water generously but less frequently, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool excessively wet. An abundance of algae signifies overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young, as excess water hinders root establishment, crucial for healthy growth.
