6x6x6 Rockwool Cube for Tomato Greenhouse HydroponicsOur premium rock wool substrate is ideal for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
planting walls, and home gardening, among other applications.
Rockwool Cubes enable seamless seeding and cutting starts, promoting even root development throughout the entire cube. They fit into standard rock wool block holes and can be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing media.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock, rock wool is spun into fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs, offering robust and versatile growing solutions.
While handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask. Contact with rock wool fibers can irritate the skin, and inhalation can irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rockwool, especially when wet.
2. Pre-condition Rockwool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the Rockwool size.
4. Water only in the light - never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C in the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, promoting root disease.
6. In low light, water in higher volumes but with fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rockwool excessively wet. Excess algae indicates overwatering. Reduce watering when the plant is young to ensure proper root setting, critical for healthy growth.
