Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is meticulously designed for optimal greenhouse farming.
Perfect for floriculture, herb medicine cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening ventures, among others.
These Rock Wool Cubes facilitate seamless seed and cutting germination, ensuring uniform root development throughout the entire cube. They are versatile, fitting into holes of standard rock wool blocks, and compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and various other growing media.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone, rock wool is spun into resilient fibres and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs.
When handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask to prevent skin irritation and respiratory issues caused by inhaling the fibres.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock Wool, especially when wet.
2. Pre-condition your Rock Wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Depending on the size, pre-soak Rock Wool from 30 seconds to 30 minutes.
4. Only water when there's light; never water in the dark to ensure proper plant care.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Higher temperatures above 26.7°C can deplete oxygen levels, leading to root diseases.
6. In low light conditions, water with higher volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do not keep Rock Wool excessively wet. Excessive algae growth indicates overwatering; minimize watering when plants are young to encourage healthy root development.
