Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur superior rock wool substrate is ideally suited for greenhouse farming.
It is perfect for floriculture, herb medicine cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
planting walls, and even home gardening.
Rock wool cubes facilitate easy seed and cutting propagation, ensuring uniform root development. They fit seamlessly into standard rock wool blocks and are versatile enough to be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most growing media.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone, rock wool is spun into fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs, making it a versatile mineral wool.
Always handle rock wool with care by wearing gloves and masks. The fibers can irritate the skin and lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Pre-condition rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak rock wool from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water plants only when there's light-never in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C can deplete oxygen levels and encourage root disease.
6. In low light, water with more volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep rock wool excessively wet. Excessive algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering while the plant is young to ensure proper root setting, essential for healthy growth.
