Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur rock wool substrate is the perfect solution for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
planting walls, and home gardening. Its versatility is unmatched.
Rock Wool Cubes ensure easy seed and cutting initiation, promoting even root development throughout the entire cube. They fit seamlessly into any standard rock wool block and work well with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a superior mineral wool made from molten basalt and limestone rocks, spun into resilient fibers, and compressed into convenient cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Handle rock wool with care. Always use gloves and a mask to prevent skin irritation and lung discomfort from the fibers.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock Wool, especially when wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock Wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak Rock Wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Only water Rock Wool when there is light-never in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C in the growing media reduce oxygen levels and encourage root disease.
6. With low light, increase water volume and reduce cycles, and vice versa.
7. Never keep Rock Wool excessively wet. Overwatering causes algae growth and hinders root setting, which is critical for plant health.
