Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is ideally suited for high-yield greenhouse farming,
diverse floriculture applications, medicinal herb cultivation, innovative three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and even home gardening projects, etc.
Rock wool Cubes are essential for the efficient germination of seeds and cuttings, ensuring uniform root development throughout the entire cube. These versatile cubes seamlessly fit into any standard rock wool blocks and are compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a versatile mineral wool manufactured from molten basalt and limestone, spun into fibers, and then compressed into various forms such as cubes, blocks, or slabs.
When handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask, as the fibers can cause skin irritation and lung irritation if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock wool, particularly when it is wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the Rock wool's size.
4. Water only when there is light; never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimum room temperature of 18.5°C to 28°C for most species. Temperatures exceeding 26.7°C inside the growing media deplete oxygen levels, leading to root diseases.
6. With low light, water with larger volumes and fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool excessively wet. An abundance of algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering while the plant is young, as too much water can impede root establishment, essential for healthy growth.
