Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is expertly designed for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, innovative three-dimensional greening,
planting walls, and home gardening endeavors.
Rock wool Cubes are ideal for starting seeds and cuttings, ensuring even root development throughout the cube. These cubes fit seamlessly into any standard rock wool blocks' holes and can be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most growing media.
Rock wool is a high-quality mineral wool derived from molten basalt and limestone rock, spun into fibers, and compressed into versatile cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Handle rock wool with care by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can irritate the skin, and inhalation may cause lung irritation.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak Rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only when there is light; never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal growing environment temperature between 18.5°C - 28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, promoting root disease.
6. With low light, water with more volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do not keep Rock wool sopping wet. Abundant algae indicate overwatering. Minimize watering during the plant's early stages to ensure proper root establishment.
