Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is perfect for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, vertical greening,
planting walls, and diverse home gardening applications.
Rock wool Cubes are designed for effortless seed and cutting initiation, ensuring uniform root development throughout the cube. They fit seamlessly into any standard rock wool blocks and are versatile enough to be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone, our rock wool is spun into fine fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs for varied horticultural uses.
Handle rock wool with care by wearing gloves and a mask. Rock wool fibers can irritate the skin, and inhalation may cause lung irritation.
1. Avoid squeezing rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Always pre-condition rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the rock wool.
4. Water only when there is light - never water in the dark.
5. Optimal room temperature for most species is between 18.5°C and 28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C in the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, encouraging root disease.
6. With low light, water with more volume and fewer cycles - and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep rock wool excessively wet. Excessive algae growth indicates overwatering. Minimize watering for young plants, as too much water hinders essential root setting.
