Rock Wool Cubes facilitate effortless seed and cutting propagation, ensuring uniform root growth throughout the entire cube. They fit seamlessly into standard rock wool blocks and work well with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock Wool is crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock, spun into fibers and compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs, providing a robust and reliable growing medium.
When handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask. Rock wool fibers can irritate the skin and lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock Wool, especially when it's wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock Wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak the Rock Wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water your plants only when there is light - never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimum room temperature of 18.5°C to 28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C can deplete oxygen levels, leading to root disease.
6. With low light, increase the water volume but reduce watering cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do not keep Rock Wool excessively wet. Excessive algae growth indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when plants are young, as too much water can prevent essential root setting, crucial for healthy plant growth.
