6x6x6 Rock Wool Cube for Tomato Greenhouse HydroponicsOur rock wool substrate is the ideal choice for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herbs cultivation, vertical greening,
planting walls, and home gardening, among other applications.
Rock Wool Cubes facilitate seamless seed and cutting propagation, ensuring uniform root growth throughout the cube. These cubes easily fit into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks and can be used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most other growing mediums.
Rock wool is a mineral wool derived from molten basalt and limestone rock, spun into fibers, and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Exercise caution when handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers may cause skin irritation and, if inhaled, can irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing the Rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the Rock wool.
4. Water only when there is light-never water during dark periods.
5. Optimal room temperature for the growing environment is 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media deplete oxygen levels, encouraging root disease.
6. Under low light conditions, water with larger volumes but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Avoid keeping Rock wool excessively wet. Excessive algae is a sign of overwatering. Minimize watering while plants are young to ensure proper root establishment, which is essential for healthy plant growth.
