Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is perfectly engineered for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, medicinal herb cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening, among others.
Rock wool Cubes facilitate seamless seed and cutting initialization, ensuring uniform root development throughout the entire cube. These versatile cubes can fit into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks, and are compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and most growing mediums.
Rock wool is a high-quality mineral wool derived from molten basalt and limestone rock, meticulously spun into fibers and then compressed into various forms such as cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Exercise caution while handling rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask, as the fibers can irritate the skin and lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve lime.
3. Pre-soak for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the Rock wool.
4. Only water when there is light; never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal growing environment temperature of 18.5°C - 28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C inside the growing media lead to oxygen depletion, encouraging root disease.
6. With low light, water with greater volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT keep Rock wool excessively wet. A lot of algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering when the plant is young, as excessive water prevents root establishment, which is crucial for healthy plant growth.
